Gift Back to Make a Difference in your Hometown!

(Glens Falls, NY) Glens Falls Gift Back will hold its SIXTH ANNUAL Alternative Gift Fair during Small Business Saturday November 30th from 10am-2pm at Spot Coffee in Glens Falls and the Strand Theatre in Hudson Falls and during the Glens Falls Hometown Holiday celebration Friday, December 6th from 5-8pm and Saturday, December 7th from 10am-3pm in the Cabaret Space at Charles R. Wood Theater.

At Gift Back, various non-profit agencies in the Glens Falls area will offer holiday shoppers a unique local opportunity to purchase impactful gifts for their coworkers, friends, & loved ones. Some examples of gifts may be a $15 donation to provide 6 months of medicine for a child with asthma in Guatemala, $20 to train a new volunteer literacy tutor, or $50 to provide local artists and businesses with classes. The impact of these gifts will last much longer than any material gift, and all gift purchases are tax deductible!

The ten local organizations involved in Gift Back for 2019 are Amanda’s House at Glens Falls Hospital, Amorak Youth, Glens Falls Medical Mission, Glens Falls Senior Center, High Peaks Hospice, Hudson River Music Hall Productions Inc., Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC), Literacy NY Greater Capital Region, RSVP of Warren/Washington Counties, and Support-Link, Inc.

This year, Saturday, December 7th at Gift Back will include all sorts of FREE ways to De-Stress and Pamper Yourself! Enjoy the scent of relaxing essential oils as you sip calming tea. We will have Deb Rose from Deb’s Treasures Massage Therapy available from 10am-1pm to provide hand, foot, and/or back massages, and Lori Higley and Carol Stegen available from 10am-1pm to do Healing Touch. A handbell choir will perform from 10:30am-11:30am. From 12pm-2pm, Arianna Stewart will serenade us with beautiful music. Volunteers will be on hand to do nail painting, and there will be
light refreshments and other activities as well, including supplies for children to make holiday cards for veterans.
